On December 2, 2013, I had my 1e morning shift as a Front Office employee at Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station. What a difference from the hotel I came from! A busy hotel, nice colleagues and a very versatile job. I quickly felt at home. After about a year I was promoted to Front Office Supervisor. I got more and more knowledge of the Front Office, but also of other aspects of the hotel. This ensured that in 2017 I was allowed to make the next step to Front Office Manager. I did this in both The Hague and Rotterdam.
After the birth of my son in 2021, I noticed that working hours in the hotel no longer quite fit with my personal life. I think the hotel world is the most fun there is to work in and didn't want to leave TVHG either. That is why I started looking if there might be something available at the Support Office that would suit me and provide more regularity. This is how I ended up at HR. For me, this is what makes TVHG such a great company to work for! They look at your development, there is room to grow or to take on another function, perhaps not in the same hotel but possibly in one of the other hotels and they really look at the work/life balance. In the coming period I would like to expand my knowledge of HR and perhaps make some nice steps in this department!
Your development is taken into account, there is room to grow or to take on another position, perhaps not in the same hotel but possibly in one of the other hotels, and there is a real focus on work/life balance.
