This position will report directly to Operations Director. The role will be primarily focused on providing Commercial Strategic direction, oversight and leadership for the development, implementation and review of revenue strategies for a portfolio of hotels, by interacting with the key stakeholders within the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
COMMERCIAL
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, both short-term and long-term, supporting Revenue Management, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations teams.
- Collaborate with Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial plans.
- Optimize use of resources and systems to increase overall commercial performance and deliver on market share growth
- Manage, activate, and optimize key accounts for the portfolio
- Continuously seek new business opportunities that contribute to the hotels’ commercial objectives.
- Organize and participate in commercial events, networking gatherings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, 3rd parties, Brand Commercial teams and industry associations.
- Stay informed about market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Efficiently tracking activities and results in the CRM and other reports.
- Analyse data, reports, and research findings to continually discover new opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
PEOPLE
- Directing and Managing a team of across the 4 disciplines focusing on recruitment, training, development and performance.
- Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, hotel teams, and brand support teams.
- Liaise with the company Operations Director to present commercial strategies
- Contribute a consistent way of working in the team, aligned by set SOP’s and guidelines;
- Be self-motivated, committed and enthusiastic
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with another team members/director.
- Participate and initiate departmental meetings, team briefings and project work
- Create KPO’s for all team members to ensure clear goals
GUEST SERVICES
- Build long term, commercially beneficial relationships within your customers/clients and guests;
- Ensure accurate and customer focused correspondence with clients and stakeholders
GENERAL
- Handle all administrative tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Keep team-members and operations director updated in a timely manner
- Have a sound knowledge of all technical systems and procedures relating to the role
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
- Professionally represent the portfolio in community and industry organizations and events
- Participate as team player with other central team members as part of the company leadership team
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned
